Servicing the rear differential on the RAV4 is a straightforward task, but it requires precision. Diagnosing Ratio-Related Noise and Fluid Cavitation

The 3.357 gear ratio in the RAV4 is generally quiet, but fluid degradation can lead to distinct acoustic signatures. Understanding these noises can save you from a $2,500+ differential replacement bill.
